Summary
Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), often referred to as "forever chemicals," have become a significant regulatory and operational focus for industries worldwide. Companies are facing potential PFAS management, monitoring/tracking, and in some cases, complete elimination challenges, in relation to their products and associated operations.
This webinar will present an overview of the rapidly changing PFAS regulatory environment and discuss compliance strategies and best practices for managing PFAS risks. We will address the most common compliance program requirements today (e.g., PFAS reporting), as well as more strategic, “big picture” PFAS management concepts including the use of risk identification & prioritization models, development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies, planning for the “next wave” of regulations, and tracking PFAS management program effectiveness for internal and external reporting.
Participants will learn:
- What the current regulations require now and approaches to meet burdensome PFAS reporting obligations related to manufacturing, use and imports
- How to determine where PFAS are present in your organization and what you can do to minimize the adverse impacts of PFAs in your current and future operating models
- Strategies to optimize your PFAS management programs (i.e., how to define and manage the intersection of PFAS compliance, brand protection, and financial expenditures/risk)
This webinar is critical for EHS professionals tasked with ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating environmental risk, and protecting brand reputation in the face of increasing scrutiny of PFAS.
