Summary

Workplace ergonomics have made generations of manufacturing workers safer and more productive, but getting there can be expensive and time-consuming. Paper-based, expert-led, observational ergonomics assessments can be costly and disruptive to operations. However, it's a field ripe for improvement from artificial intelligence (AI).

Using AI-based sensorless motion-capture technology, companies can generate data through the video from an employee’s smartphone to determine musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) risk levels. The simplification and increased reliability of the assessment process allows managers to spend their time where it belongs—on improving jobs.

During this webinar, board-certified ergonomists Rick Barker and Rachel Zoky will discuss:

  • Business implications of ergonomics in manufacturing
  • How AI and machine learning technologies can assess risk
  • How to use these tools for root cause analysis and identify controls that more directly impact risk exposure
  • Real-worls case studies of how leading manufacturers are achieving success with AI and motion-capture technology
