Do you think you have what it takes to be a champion of safety? The deadline for entries is July 2, for Occupational Hazards' annual Champions of Safety Contest.

Do you think you have what it takes to be a champion of safety? The deadline for entries is July 2, for Occupational Hazards'' annual Champions of Safety Contest.

We are looking for the cream of the crop -- companies, facilities, teams or individuals who champion the cause of safety every day through program development and oversight, research, education and other activities.

Last year''s winners, Ron Hayes of The FIGHT Project in Fairhope, Ala., and Hazleton Pumps in Hazleton, Pa., were selected for their unique approaches to ensuring a safer workplace.

Winners will receive $1,000 and the Champions of Safety commemorative trophy. They will also be profiled in the November issue of OH.
