My attention was peaked as Louisiana had, among its "strengths," "low levels of air pollution." Really? So I dug into the report... buyer beware... the only indicator of air pollution that was reviewed was PM2.5. That's it. Not PM10 or TSP or any other Criteria Pollutants or HAPs -- just PM2.5. The "researcher" alludes to the rate of incidence of "Air Quality Alerts," but then presumes they are all based on PM2.5. Shoddy environmental science. Clearly the researcher(s) are looking only at traditional health metrics, but they have no solid understanding of environmental science on which to base their air quality assessments. Just a note. C.
