Timet to Pay Millions for Toxic Waste Contamination

Titanium Metals Corp. agreed to pay a $13.75-million civil penalty relating to unauthorized manufacturing and disposal of PCBs at its plant in Henderson, Nev.

A settlement reached with EPA will result in the removal of approximately 84,000 lbs. of PCB-contaminated waste from the environment and will prevent improper disposal of 56 million lbs. of hazardous waste each year.
