Ergonomically-designed HyFlex® 11-515 gloves combine comfort and durability

May 14, 2013, Iselin, NJ, -Ansell, a global leader in protection solutions, today announces its collaboration with DuPont Protection Technologies to develop HyFlex 11-515 work gloves, the newest addition to Ansell’s industry-leading HyFlex product offering. Combining exceptional comfort and an exclusive, high visibility DuPont™ Kevlar® Stretch Armor liner, new HyFlex 11-515 gloves offer ANSI Level 4 Cut Protection and a high visibility appearance to keep workers’ hands safe in low light situations.

An orange foam nitrile coated palm provides ANSI Level 4 abrasion resistance and ensures longer life, with new “safety yellow” Intercept Technology® yarn providing outstanding visibility and dexterity. The patented KVSD (Knitted Variable Stitch Design) releases tension in high stress areas to improve comfort and fit. An extended cuff and enhanced cuff overedging supply additional cut protection and elasticity in the highly sensitive wrist area.

Leveraging over 100 years of industry expertise from Ansell with DuPont’s patented innovations in cut protection, the ergonomically designed HyFlex 11-515 gloves offer superior grip and tactility in light oil or dry environments. Suggested applications include sharp small part handling, door and wood framing, glass installation, paper slitting, knife handling and maintenance operations in a range of industries, including aerospace/transportation, automotive, metal fabrication, paper manufacturing, plastics/injection molding and public utilities.

“While high visibility gloves have a mature presence in specialty markets such as construction, these new HyFlex 11-515 gloves represent an emerging trend within the industrial sector,” said Bob Gaither, Senior Vice President and Regional Director – North America. “With high visibility elements that allow for easy hand signaling and increased personal safety, HyFlex 11-515 gloves incorporate new technology to improve comfort and efficiency for workers around the world.”

“HyFlex 11-515 gloves are an industry leading example of the innovative nature of DuPont Kevlar yarn and its ability to protect workers in challenging environments,” said Gaither. “Combining DuPont fiber and yarn technology with innovative design from Ansell, the new HyFlex 11-515 gloves herald a new level of safety and performance.”

New Hyflex 11-515 gloves are silicone-free and made without latex for worker and product protection and may be machine laundered with minimal shrinking and good recovery. The gloves are available in a wide range of sizes to accommodate more workers.

As the world’s best-selling precision assembly product, Ansell HyFlex gloves empower millions of workers around the world to do their job more effectively, more comfortably and more safely every day. Today, the HyFlex offering extends to over 30 individual styles, ensuring a glove that fits every worker’s job performance requirements and comfort expectations.
