Using rod lock cylinders is a cost-effective approach to promote worker and machine safety in pneumatic holding and clamping applications.

Machine operators always seem to make it into the Top 10 of the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ National Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries.

One cost-effective approach to fighting these numbers, especially where pneumatic controls are in place, is to use rod lock cylinders.

Rod lock cylinders can ensure worker safety during manufacturing operations, such as in press or machining processes to hold platens or tooling in place.
