Thomas Clark

Thomas Clark is corporate safety director with Stier Supply, a provider of construction materials. He also serves as an instructor for the Columbia-Richland Fire Department Training Division & South Carolina State Fire Academy, teaching courses on hazardous materials emergency response, medical, and firefighting. His certifications include EMT, Fire Officer, Fire Instructor, Confined Space Rescue, and Hazardous Materials Technician. Previously, he served as the agency safety director at the South Carolina regulatory agency, SC Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC), overseeing safety across various areas, including environmental enforcement, public health programs, healthcare, and statewide emergency response. He holds a master’s degree in occupational safety, a master's in Management and Leadership, and several certifications, including National Register Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, and Certified Safety Professional.
