Terry Evans
Terry Evans is division safety manager, Wood Products at Boise Cascade Company. He joined Boise Cascade in 2013 to assist the Wood Products division on its safety improvement journey. Under his leadership, the safety team has worked to de-silo the division’s approach to safety and implement several safety improvements, including a central safety data collection and management program, monthly incident reviews, a standard for reporting hazard IDs, peer-to-peer reports, and pre-task hazard inspections (known as the all-in-one card). Prior to joining Boise Cascade, Evans worked as a safety manager, risk manager and industrial hygienist in several industries, including mega-project (>$500M) construction, local government, commercial insurance, and was also a combat engineer team leader in the U.S. Army. He earned a bachelor’s degree in natural science from the University of Alaska, Anchorage and the Certified Safety Professional and Associate of Risk Management professional designations.
