OSHA Violations, PFAS Regulations and a Change in Leadership: What You’re Reading This Month

Nov. 22, 2024
A look at some of our most popular stories, as determined by you.

Last night, we had our first true snowfall of the season. The leaves still on the trees were covered, and the leaves piled for collection made it look like the end of January, when the plows push the compacted snow ever higher on the curb.

My friend from Chicago asked if I, too, was experiencing a winter snowstorm. I jokingly asked if he had enough milk and bread to sustain him for the duration.

It's difficult to believe that it's time to start wintering. I'm excited because I love an excuse to stay home, though I hope the weather doesn’t thwart my Thanksgiving travel plans.

Regardless of the current conditions outside your window, I hope you’re able to lean in to the approaching winter solstice. I hope you’re also able to find ideas and approaches in some of EHS Today’s most popular stories of November.

Whether you’re curious to know how your salary compares to your colleagues in our annual National Safety & Salary Survey or wondering how to prepare for the quadrennial changing of the guard in Washington, D.C., there’s always something to be learning and doing. But, if you’re feeling a little overwhelmed, take a moment to reflect on how to keep calm and carry on.

Until next time, keep safe, be well and stay warm!
