At over 200 locations throughout the country, employers and employees will participate in an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recordkeeping training session via a satellite broadcast. Employers and employees who cannot attend one of the satellite broadcasts can access the information via the Web by linking to OSHA's Web site at www.osha-slc.gov/recordkeeping/RKsatellite.html.
The training focuses on OSHA's updated injury and illness recordkeeping requirements that will take effect Jan. 1, 2002 and cover about 1.4 million employers. The Webcast presentation will remain on OSHA's Web site through July 30, 2002.
The webcast will be open to the first 5,000 people. The live event is set for 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. EST today. Those participating in the live session will have the opportunity to ask questions. For those who cannot attend the live event, the questions and answers will be included in the archived Webcast available for six months.
A listing of sites where the live broadcast can be viewed is available as a downloadable PDF file at http://www.osha-slc.gov/recordkeeping/satellitedownlinksites.pdf. Additional materials about the recordkeeping rule can be found on OSHA's Web site at www.osha.gov.
