This is eighth time the company has earned the safety award in the last 11 years. - Lyons Added to ISEA Board
International Enviroguard Group Vice President Brian Lyons has been elected to a 3-year term on the Board of Trustees for the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA) at the annual meeting held May 7, 2007 at Barton Creek Resort, Austin, Texas. “This is a wonderful honor to have bestowed upon me by the ISEA and my peers within the industry, and I accept it with great eagerness,” said Lyons.

- Nelson Honored With Henry F. Smyth Award
Deborah Imel Nelson, Ph.D., CIH, is the recipient of the American Industrial Hygiene Association's Henry F. Smyth Jr. Award. The award will be presented at the 2007 Professional Conference on Industrial Hygiene (PCIH) being held Oct. 20-23 in Louisville, Ky. “It is an honor to present this award to Dr. Nelson on behalf of the academy,” said John R. Mulhausen, PhD, CIH, academy president. “Her dedication to promoting the industrial hygiene profession through her vision and achievements has earned great respect from her peers.” As recipient of the award, Nelson will deliver the Henry F. Smyth Jr. Memorial Lecture on Tuesday, October 23, at PCIH. Her lecture will be entitled “Capturing the Wisdom of Industrial Hygiene Leadership.”
Timberland Recalls Steel-Toe Boots
The Timberland Co. voluntarily is recalling Timberland PRO Direct Attach Steel Toe Series boots made in the Dominican Republic and sold nationwide between September 2005 and September 2007. Product testing has demonstrated that the boots may not comply with applicable safety standards for compression and impact resistance. This product was sold under model numbers 26002, 65016, 26038 and 38021. Consult the green loop tag inside the boot to determine whether your boots are subject to this recall.
