ISEA Elects New Chairman, Board

Roger Gehring, president of Dalloz Safety Inc., Reading, Pa., has\r\nbeen elected chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International\r\nSafety Equipment Association (ISEA).

Roger Gehring, president of Dalloz Safety Inc., Reading, Pa., has been elected chairman of the Board of Trustees of the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA).

David F. Miller III, president of H.L. Bouton Co., Buzzard Bay, Mass., has been elected vice chairman.

Gehring, who had been Board of Trustees vice chairman, succeeds John T. Ryan III, chairman and chief executive officer of Mine Safety Appliances Co., Pittsburgh, who completed two years as chairman at ISEA''s recent annual meeting.

Ryan continues on the Board of Trustees.

Newly elected to the Board of Trustees are Jack Bortle, vice president of planning and development for JPI Inc., Chesterfield, Mo.; and Bernard Mishkin, vice president of marketing for Moldex-Metric Inc., Culver City, Calif.

Re-elected as a trustee is Robert Hurley, president of Fendall Co., Arlington Heights, Ill.

Completing terms on the Board at the annual meeting were Edward D. Bullard, chairman of Bullard, Cynthiana, Ky., and Glen W. Lindemann, CEO of Scott Technologies, Beachwood, Ohio. Bullard served on the board for 10 years, while Lindemann had joined in 1997.

Gehring has been with Dalloz and its subsidiary companies since 1984. He has a degree from Villanova University and has taken management training at the University of Michigan, Northwestern University and the University of Virginia.

Dalloz and its affiliates make head, eye and face, respiratory, hearing and fall-protection equipment.

Miller has been with H.L. Bouton, a manufacturer of eye and face protection and emergency eyewash and shower equipment, since being named president in 1981. He has a bachelor''s degree from Villanova University and a master''s from Boston College.

Bortle has been with JPI and its subsidiaries since 1990, and was promoted to his current post in 1998. He has a bachelor''s degree from the University of Baltimore. JPI is the parent of five companies that make eye, face, head and hearing protection and safety wearing apparel.

Mishkin has been with Moldex-Metirc, a manufacturer of hearing and respiratory protection, for some 27 years, and was named to his current post in 1980.

He is a graduate of Portsmouth University in the United Kingdom.

Hurley has been with Fendall Co., a manufacturer of emergency eyewash and shower and industrial first aid equipment, since he became president in 1984. He is a graduate of Marquette University.
