Be Recognized as One of America's Safest Companies

April 7, 2025
The competition for EHS Today’s annual workplace safety award will be open until May 30, 2025.

There’s a difference between good at safety and being world-class, and that difference is what EHS Today’s annual America’s Safest Companies competition is all about. If you believe that your company’s workplace safety culture is one of the best in your industry, then apply here to be considered for the 2025 class of America’s Safest Companies.

Since 2002, more than 250 companies have been honored by EHS Today for their occupational safety, health, environmental and risk management efforts by being named one of America’s Safest Companies. Safety is everyone’s business at these companies, from the newest hire to the CEO and the chairperson of the board.

To be considered one of America’s Safest Companies, organizations must be headquartered in the United States and demonstrate:

  • support from leadership and management for EHS efforts;
  • employee involvement in the EHS process;
  • innovative solutions to safety challenges;
  • injury and illness rates lower than the average for their industries;
  • comprehensive training programs;
  • evidence that prevention of incidents is the cornerstone of the safety process;
  • good communication about the value of safety; and
  • a way to substantiate the benefits of the safety process.

Submitted applications must be for the entire company/organization, not just one single location or division that operates as part of the company. Previous winners must wait five years before reapplying.

The application process is now open until May 30, 2025. There is no cost to apply. You can find the online application by clicking on this link.

Winners will be invited to attend the America’s Safest Companies Awards presentation during the Safety Leadership Conference 2025, October 20-22, in Glendale (Phoenix), Arizona. Winners also receive two free passes to the SLC 2025 event. This event is designed to share best practices in safety leadership, risk management, compliance and technology applications with EHS professionals hoping to achieve world-class safety at their companies. Speakers at the conference will include previous America’s Safest Companies winners.
