Safest Cities in the US

Oct. 23, 2024
A survey ranks cities on risks such as natural disasters and community safety.

Earlier this month a report, Safest Cities in America ( 2024) was released by WalletHub.

The survey looked at 182 cities — including the 150 most populated U.S. cities, plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state — across three dimensions: 1) home & community safety, 2) natural-disaster risk, and 3) financial safety.

Within these dimenstions 41 relevant metrics were applied.

While this slideshow deals with the safest cities, here are those that ranked at the bottom of the list.

173. San Bernardino, California

174. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

175. Oakland, California

176. Cleveland, Ohio

177. Baltimore, Maryland

178. New Orleans, Louisiana
