With the holidays coming up – and with them, holiday travel – how safe is your home from burglars? The investigative team from Portland, Ore. television station KGW News sent a 17-question survey to 86 inmates serving time in the Oregon Department of Corrections for burglary, asking – among other things – how they chose their victims, what security measures worked and didn’t work and what were the high-value items they looked for.
