Hygiene Association Adds Safety Committee

March 31, 2003
The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) Board of Directors approved the formation of a new AIHA committee focused on safety issues.

The first meeting of the new committee will take place at the 64th annual American Industrial Hygiene conference and exposition (AIHce), to be held May 10-15 in Dallas.

According to the association, AIHA members are increasingly active in the discipline of safety and want tools and educational materials to assist them in such work.

The new committee will serve as an organized body of active and knowledgeable safety experts to assist in developing safety-related conference sessions, educational materials, courses, publications, and position statements for AIHA.
