The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) have signed a memorandum of understanding and pledged to work together to addressed shared indoor air quality and environmental issues.
“This MOU allows two premiere professional associations to share information and increase communication about projects of mutual interest,” said Donald Weekes, CIH, CSP, member of the AIHA Indoor Environmental Quality Committee and president of IAQA.
Members of IAQA specialize in the assessment and/or mitigation of indoor environmental contamination, facilities management and related interests. Members of AIHA specialize in the preservation of worker health and safety. The MOU establishes a working relationship between the two associations, allowing for knowledge sharing and issue collaboration.
“We are proud to engage in the partnership, as this MOU provides strong support to both organizations,” Weekes added.
