The library provides immediate, full-text access to all available AIHA publications, including the Journal of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene,The Synergist, white papers, distance learning programs, conference proceedings and AIHA-published books. AIHA will continue to offer print versions of these publications.

Subscribers can download versions of the print publications, as well as access links to abstracting and indexing databases for more than 150 science and technical journals. Other visitors can read OEHS Library Central’s abstract information and tables of contents without a subscription, but must subscribe to view or download the materials.

A task force of AIHA members analyzed input from four focus groups to help develop the digital library, which is more than 4 years in the making. AIHA selected AIP Publishing Services as the vendor to build, host and service OEHS Library Central.
